Caleb Scott Sackhoff MAUMELLE, Ark. — The Maumelle Fire Department is mourning the loss of Firefighter Caleb Scott Sackhoff, whose death has left colleagues, family, and the community deeply saddened.
Sackhoff joined the Maumelle Fire Department in August 2024, where he served with Engine Company 1 (B-Shift). Department officials described him as a dedicated and dependable firefighter who brought energy, professionalism, and a strong sense of duty to his role.
He was a graduate of the Arkansas Fire Training Academy Firefighter Standards Class 2024-E, where he earned the Academic Achievement Award, and was also a certified Emergency Medical Technician, reflecting his commitment to public service and emergency care.
Fire Chief Beau Buford said Sackhoff was well respected among his peers and will be remembered for his positive attitude, work ethic, and willingness to serve others. His passing, the department said, represents a significant loss to both the fire service and the Maumelle community.
The Maumelle Fire Department extended its deepest condolences to Sackhoff’s family, friends, and fellow firefighters. Funeral and memorial service arrangements will be announced once finalized.
